Riverstone Homes, LLC, has its roots in the Randshire Building Corporation, a well respected builder of residential homes in Monroe County for over 30 years. Paul Randazzese, formerly the Vice President of Construction and Development for Randshire Building Corp., will serve as the Operations Manager for Riverstone Homes.

Randshire Building had a history of adopting energy efficient technologies and folding them into their standard offerings long before this was the common practice. Indeed, when many builders treated high efficiency furnaces and water heaters as upgrades, Randshire Building included these as standard on every home. When the Energy Star program was launched and gradually made its way into appliances and residential building products, Randshire Building made the decision to bring all homes to Energy Star ratings, again as a standard offering. This extended to all major appliances, including the heating and cooling systems. Quite simply, it just made good sense, both for environmental awareness and for cost savings on energy bills.

During the design and visioning phase of Randshire Building Corporation's final residential subdivision, the decision was made to take environmental stewardship to a new level. It was decided that for their "Bel Arbor" subdivision, a community of patio homes in Webster, NY, every effort would be made to retain as many of the native trees as possible. Bel Arbor also included the creation of a pond that was dug deep enough to sustain stocked fish and indeed to create a diverse new ecosystem, becoming a habitat for fish, ducks, frogs, heron and deer.

So we find ourselves today taking the next natural step, elevating the construction of environmentally-conscious homes to a new level. Though we are passionate about building homes, we are also parents deeply concerned about the world that we will hand off to our children, we are members of our local communities, and we are citizens of the world. The culmination of these forces is Riverstone Homes LLC, with a mission and a passion to build attractive, mainstream, environmentally friendly homes that serve the wider community of homeowners and reduce overall energy consumption.
